A Fairytale Wedding at Harlaxton Manor — Beth & Marcus
Some wedding venues feel like movie sets before the cameras even start rolling – and Harlaxton Manor is exactly that. With its sweeping drive, dramatic architecture, and timeless English gardens, it’s a place that already feels romantic before a single guest has arrived. Beth and Marcus chose the perfect setting for a day full of elegance, emotion, and so much fun.
Morning Preparations
Beth spent the morning surrounded by her bridal party in one of Harlaxton’s beautiful preparation rooms – all soft laughter, fizz, and that unmistakable excited energy. Her dress was pure magic: a stunning Milla Nova gown, sourced from Serendipity Brides and Bonsiore Bridal, with exquisite detail that seemed made for Harlaxton’s grand staircase.
Her bridal look came together flawlessly thanks to two talented artists:
Makeup Artist: Ellen Thompson
Hair Stylist: Chloe Wharton – Bo'eur Hair
With a soft, elegant glow and effortless waves, Beth looked absolutely breathtaking.
Meanwhile, Marcus and his groomsmen explored the grounds for portraits and a few relaxed moments before guests arrived – calm, collected, and ready for the big moment.
The Ceremony
The aisle florals were stunning — elegant, romantic and beautifully curated by Kirsty Fisher of Coral & Sage. The arrangements paired perfectly with the venue’s period features, adding softness and natural colour to the ceremony space.
The moment Beth walked in, wearing the most genuine smile, you could feel the emotion across the room. Marcus’ face said everything.
A Manor Made for Portraits
After confetti and congratulations, we explored the gardens, stone archways and grand architecture for portraits. Harlaxton is the kind of venue where every corner looks like a painting. Beth and Marcus were naturals — joyful, relaxed and completely absorbed in each other.
The day was beautifully coordinated by Mel (enquiries@harlaxton.co.uk), who kept everything flowing seamlessly, allowing the couple to simply enjoy every moment.
Evening Celebrations
As the sun set, guests moved indoors for heartfelt speeches, incredible food, and a packed dance floor. Music and evening entertainment came courtesy of Stardust Weddings & Events, with DJ Simon making sure there was always a dance floor filler playing.
To capture every moment on film, Beth and Marcus chose Ian Wilkinson of Confetti Wedding Videos, whose documentary style worked perfectly alongside the photography — natural, unobtrusive and full of emotion.
A Day to Remember
Beth and Marcus’ wedding was the perfect blend of romance, history and celebration. Every detail was thoughtfully chosen, every moment filled with warmth, family and joy.
Harlaxton Manor will always be a special place for them and looking back on this day, it’s easy to see why.
